The First Filipino Olympians: The Untold Story of Dr. Regino Ylanan and David Nepomuceno
Archivo 1984 proudly launched The First Filipino Olympians — a centennial tribute to the Philippines’ first Olympian and a pioneering sportsman who helped build the nation’s athletic foundation.
The book shares the stories of Nepomuceno, the first Filipino to compete in the Olympics, and Ylanan, the driving force behind the country's athletic development.
Nepomuceno's participation in the 1924 Paris Olympics as a sprinter marked a significant milestone for the Philippines, setting the stage for future Filipino athletes.

Ylanan, an influential sportsman and educator, promoted physical education and sports in the Philippines. His work as National Physical Director and with the Philippine Amateur Athletic Federation helped build the foundation for the nation's sports programs.
The launch was held in the historic Rizal Memorial Coliseum in collaboration with the Philippine Sports Commission, with a program that included remarks from PSC Chairman Patrick Gregorio and a heritage tour of Rizal Memorial Coliseum led by Gerard Lico.
