Archivo 1984 proudly presents "The Unseen", a solo exhibition by Cesar Hernando opening on 28 August 2018 at 6 pm. The exhibition trains its focus on films he directed such as Kagat, Kalawang, Maalinsangan Ang Gabi, and Motorsiklo along with previously unseen images and rare outtakes from various film productions he worked on.
Highlighting his in depth involvement in the Philippine film industry, the exhibition covers his activism on censorship along with his most sought-after film posters. A highly regarded pillar in the industry, Hernando is an award winning filmmaker and production designer with decades of contributions as a writer and actor.

Some of his notable works as production designer are in critically acclaimed films like Mike De Leon’s “Sister Stella L”, “Batch ‘81” and “Kisapmata” and Lav Diaz’s “Batang West Side”. “Kisapmata” won ten awards during the 1981 Manila Film Festival, and “Batang West Side” collected ten Gawad Urian Awards in 2002.
