Micat is a Filipina abstract watercolor painter in pursuit of raising collective consciousness on Earth by transmitting images from the subconscious. Her work is deeply intertwined with her spiritual life, ancestral lineage, and experiences as a woman in a country experiencing intense oppression, patriarchy, and a long history of colonialism.

Her imagery comes from dreams, visions, and patterns in the natural world that connect us to universal life forces. She uses automatic painting—the practice of creating freely using only the subconscious mind—to cultivate intuition, which she believes is a key pathway to higher consciousness.

Micat pulls concepts from animism, Jungian psychology, psychedelic rock, and indigenous wisdom rooted in reverence of nature and interconnectedness of all beings to guide her practice.
