Francisco "Bobby" Mañosa (1931-2013) is a National Artist of the Philippines for Architecture. Considered as one of the most influential Filipino architects of the 20th century, Mañosa pioneered Philippine neovernacular architecture. Committed to creating a Filipino identity in architecture, he combined traditional forms and indigenous materials with modern building techniques suited to the tropical climate of the Philippines.
