Makbet: Macbeth ni William Shakespeare

When the brave general Macbeth receives a prophecy from three witches that he will become the next King of Scotland, a dangerous desire is awakened in his heart. Spurred on by his scheming wife, Lady Macbeth, he murders King Duncan to seize the crown.

But power won by blood must be maintained by blood. As intense paranoia and guilt consume the couple, they slowly spiral into madness. In this acclaimed Filipino translation, National Artist Rolando S. Tinio brings William Shakespeare’s darkest tragedy to life with a powerful and rhythmic verse that perfectly captures a soul blinded by greed.
