On August 13, 1982, The Wiz premiered at the CCP Main Theater, reimagining the beloved classic The Wizard of Oz. This Filipino production brought together a stellar cast—Anamarie Aragon, Vernie Vergara, Haji Alejandro, Freddie Santos, Ray-An Fuentes and Bernardo Bernardo, who directed the production and starred as The Wiz.
